Best shopping mall in Bucharest

If you are like me, there is no way you leave Bucharest without spending a few hours shopping for the perfect clothes or the perfect gifts to take from Romania. In this case, the best place to go is at the mall.

There are some really wow ones in Bucharest and the best shopping mall in Bucharest is Afi Cotroceni. This is also the biggest mall in Bucharest. All the international brands Zara, C&A, H&M, Calvin Klein, Calzedonia, Lacoste, Orsay, Pandora, Sephora are present here. Clothes, jewelry, shoes, cosmetics, electronics, toys… all can be bought here. You could easily spend here one full day from your vacation in Bucharest. Restaurants, cafes, and even an ice-skating rink, will make you spend at least half a day. It’s also good to know that there is an Auchan hypermarket inside the mall in case you want to buy food or drinks.

There are 2 main promotions periods when you could come and find really good bargains From 15th January until 15^th April and from 1^st August until 15^th October. I met tourists that came just for shopping at the Romanian malls. It’s true that prices get even 70% discount.

Closely to Otopeni airport there is the second best shopping mall near Bucharest, called Baneasa Shopping City. It is located in the Baneasa Shopping Park and it’s the perfect place to go if you made the checkout from the hotel and you still have a few hours until the plane takes off. Or if you are changing planes and you have just a few hours to spend in Bucharest. Besides the big shopping mall in the park there are also present Ikea and Carrefour hypermarket.
